The
IntegratorTM
The
IntegratorTM is a chiropractic instrument used to deliver an
adjustment. This instrument was designed for the sole purpose of correcting
vertebral subluxations, and is the first chiropractic device to be approved
by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Its mechanism reproduces the
action of a chiropractor’s hands when delivering an adjustment. The features
that allow for this are the simultaneous delivery of corrective thrust with
proper corrective torque (twisting), followed by an instantaneous recoil.
The remarkable speed of the IntegratorTM gives it the ability to
deliver these three actions in 1/10,000 (one ten thousandth) of a second.
Patients have noted that an adjustment delivered with the IntegratorTM
is able to be accomplished with less depth, which is in fact true. They also
have perceived that the instrument adjustment uses less force than that of
the hands, which is surprisingly not the case. To a nearly equal degree, the
instrument’s markedly faster speed offsets the diminished depth with which
its tip must travel. In basic physics, this principle is described as force
equals speed multiplied by distance (depth). In essence, the IntegratorTM
is just another tool for adjusting.
